Car Paint Protection | Colour Shield
AS if acid rain and salt weren’t enough to ruin your paint-work, El Nino and the thinning atmosphere come along to give you another reminder that U.V. rays can scorch a coat or two of paint off your car. Colour Shield International says that it can minimise these problems, as well as the cost of insurance claims and paint jobs for dealers, with its Polarised Paint Protection System (PPS). This technology is not just another “Gimmick” and as such it is the only product of it’s kind that holds a U.S. Patent as well as being currently used by the U.S Navy and Air Force. “PPS is a clear coat that utilises Teflon through the bar-magnetic theory". “When new cars are about to be coated they are already charged with negative ions” he explained. “ Step one in the application of PPS is to wash the car with the positive solution, thus cancelling out the negative ions, then the Teflon is applied and because Teflon is already negatively charged, it fuses to the car’s paint through magnetic force”. Further more “when the Teflon cures, it gets harder and doesn’t wash away over time like other bonding agents and waxes.” A car can be driven only an hour after application of PPS But it does take 48 hours to fully cure. He says “an interesting by-product of the PPS application is that the coating actually looks shinier and deeper after the 48 hours than upon first application.” Once applied there is simply no need to wax your car again, you will be pleasantly surprised that it will be quicker to wash than ever, as general road grime including bug’s are no match for the “Paint Protection” Coating. Equally impressive are Colour Shield’s Leather / Vinyl protection and Fabric protection. Both these products are designed to maintain your car’s showroom condition through daily usage. The U.V. resistant properties of the Leather Vinyl Protection, not only prevent cracking and discolouration but once again facilitates maintenance and has the added bonus of not feeling “greasy” or “sticky”. Last but not least the Fabric Protection, which I will refer to fondly as my “invisible friend”. Once applied it works it’s way deep in to the fabric where it forms an almost impenetrable barrier which even the odd glass of red wine cannot breach, The magic continues as the bond between the product not only strengthens the fibres but also leaves the fabric feeling unusually supple. If you are considering the protection of your new or used vehicle why not give serious consideration to this serious product.
